There is no doubt that even the most innovative places can lose their way quickly. Innovative places don't stop to take breather; they learn to breath in the moment. Innovation isn't something that you did. Innovation is something that you are. You can't stop to enjoy the past because the innovation itself was enjoyable. There isn't time to let everyone catch up to you while you plan your next move. It is too hard to accelerate again. Cruising altitude is fast, but it feels comfortable.
